Poslijediplomski seminar Feminist Critical Analysis: Changing Social Dynamics: Gendered Theories of Power, Control, and Exclusion održan je pri Interuniverzitetskom centru u Dubrovniku od 29. svibnja do 4. lipnja, 2000.

Seminar su organizirale Biljana Kašić, Centar za ženske studije, Zagreb, Jasmina Lukić, Central European University, Budimpešta i Joanna Regulska, Odsjek za ženske i rodne studije, Rutgers University, New Jersey.

The primary objective of the course was to examine and question the ways in which the category of gender is present in the shaping of social changes, particularly in the paradigm of East-West. Selected readings provided by each lecturer explored the concept of gender and social dynamics from historical, social, and literary perspectives. The course focused on the following themes: theorizing power, gender locations and politics of change, theorizing exclusion, ideologies of identities and identities of resistance, spaces and sites of resistance, the power of narration, as well as building movements and constructing communities. The course also examined the roots of gendered theories of power and in subsequent discussions several key topics were covered including: gender in relation to power and politics; the ideology of identity; identity, strategies and places of resistance; women’s movements, and issues of resistance and responsibility. The course’s agenda was to provide a look at gendering and the way in which change is being shaped, resisted, and accepted, and how it impacts on the existing social, political, and legal systems in Central and Eastern Europe.
